DEVELOPMENT OF COASTAL TOURISM IN THE CITY OF BALIKPAPAN

The city of Balikpapan is very strategic in supporting the National Capital to support economic, social and environmental aspects on an ongoing basis. Tourism in Balikpapan City is determined using the Ecotourism, MICE, Transit Tourism approach in accordance with Balikpapan City Government Regulations. The aim of this research is to develop an area that uses an ecotourism concept approach at a site location that is in accordance with
the Balikpapan City Regional Spatial Plan. The concept of an approach to coastal areas using environmentally friendly materials, local Kalimantan commodity vegetation, and a recycled rainwater treatment system is applied to the development of this coastal tourism. This concept can be applied to areas that have similar location characteristics, orientation, contours, zone regulations.

SITE ANALYSIS AT BALIKPAPAN PLAZA MALL

Buildings are required to carry out functional fitness certification every period, especially buildings that belong to the state and public facilities. The Balikpapan Plaza Mall building is a developer facility that can be accessed by the public, the suitability of the site is a consideration for analyzing circulation conditions, visuals, regulations, climate, zoning and topography. This research aims to analyze the condition of the Balikpapan Plaza Mall site
using a survey and observation approach which is analyzed using the SWOT analysis tool to determine the strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats to the site.

IDENTIFICATION OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BUKIT BANGKIRAI NATURAL TOURISM

This research aims to assess the elements of the natural tourist attraction of Bangkirai Hill, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan. It is hoped that this research can provide input to the local government for consideration in the context of managing natural tourist attractions. This research uses a descriptive qualitative paradigm approach, with data collection using survey techniques, observation and interviews with stakeholders (community, managers and
visitors). The number of respondents was 6 people. The results of this research reveal that the Bengkirai Hill area has an attractive area of good value to be developed as a natural tourist attraction. Development of supporting infrastructure for tourist attractions such as road accessibility to the location, footpath pavement, health clinics and banking support can improve the quality of these tourist attractions in the future.
