Abstract

Continuous traffic jams without any decomposing solution have a psychological impact on road users. Adaptation will occur if the solution is not present in a short time. This study aims to determine the form of behavioral adaptation to traffic jams on Mulawarman Street, Balikpapan City. This study found that the adaptation of people's behavior changed by using public transportation, not bringing motorized vehicles to school, limiting private vehicles, avoiding indiscriminate parking, applying different working hours in industrial zones that have different classifications.
